thankfully king took a moment out of this harrowing grief scene to mention you can feel a woman's breasts press against you when she hugs you while crying. i was JUST thinking that this funeral was seriously lacking some tits!

I know I'm in the minority but I didn't think it was worth it, honestly you can get the gist of it and skip the book if you watch the video clip to the song Funeral Derangements by Ice Nine Kills 🤷

I love this book, but get it's not for everyone (what book is?). Don't risk a slump; dnf and watch the movie instead 🙂.
@Stitching Ghost @Adriennelee thanks for you guys' honesty i appreciate it! however i am one of those fools who refuses to dnf and also i paid for the audiobook so i am still gonna make myself finish it 🥲 i will definitely watch that mv and the movie afterwards tho!

I hope it gets better for you! Oh, and don't bother with the newer film, the 1989 version is the way to go for Fred Gwynne's performance alone.
@Adriennelee thank you :) i just started part 2 and it's already a lot more interesting to me than part 1 so that's a good sign! ah yes i found the 1989 version on dvd in a thrift store a while back and i've been so excited to watch it ever since!
I'm a big fan of this book but if you're not enjoying it now I'm not sure if that will change later. Might need to put it down and try something else?
Not trying to discourage you at all, though! I just know it's a bummer when you aren't loving a book.
@Stacy ah no worries, it kinda is a bummer tho especially since i paid for the audiobook so i am determined to finish it.... thankfully i'm slowly getting more interested now at 60% so i hope i enjoy the rest more!
