The life of Amy Carmichael is undeniably inspiring. However, I’m learning she had a work-ethic that is unattainable, and impossible to sustain (for me personally). While admirable, I believe she could’ve invited sabbath and rest into her schedule more often (if, at all). All together, her story has been inspirational, convicting. an absolutely great read to grow hearts for the mission field.

This book has been transformative in more ways than one. Amy Carmichael, the way she lived out of love & reverence to God is inspiring & convicting all at once. You want to love God more with every page turned. I have loved learning about her story, and as a missionary, the eagerness for me to go this summer is even more exciting. Love it so far, i believe everyone would love God more in reading this book.
