Sadie's non-confrontationalism is super annoying, actually. It's a cancer that she's inflicting on herself, her friends and their work. It lingers between the lines of the story.

Sadie lets people walk all over her and holds everything in. She will blow up eventually.

New theory: Sam's fears and insecurities now up.

It honestly makes me anxious that she keeps telling us how Sam and Sadie won't always be friends. But my prediction is that they cross the friends-to-lovers line and it goes wrong.
