I'm annotating this as I read using sticky strips, transparent sticky notes, and tabs. So far, I love the characters and the ease of this world, similar to ours, but with just enough differences. You can get hints of the influence of Jules Vern in the first few chapters, and the introduction to the novel helps show how important that influence still is even in this modern day of writing.

Pausing until I have re-read the four Warrior Cats books in my collection.

Restarting the book, I had loaned it to one of my kids, and I finally got it back.
