I really wanted to read a book where the main characters communicated about important things but I happened to choose a book where both are keeping secrets and it is making me so irritated!!
But, it's a good book otherwise so I'll persevere.

One would think an author would know better. That's not how libraries catalogue topics. G is not for gargoyles. Unless that's the author's name. Also, non-fiction and fiction wouldn't be squished together.

😂 I’d rather relate to a confident FMC.
Or for me, when I have down days, I love the inspiration of a confident FMC. I want to be built up and not have negative self-talk be reinforced. Sometimes, I feel like this sort of internal self-harm transcript should have a content warning like when they have referrals to suicide hotlines or beyond blue 🤔
Yes, Lissa... no one needs reinforcement of bad self talk. We want good models in our fiction.
