How to ruin a book’s whole central concept in three pages or less.

Gonna finish it, but my disappointment is massive.

A bit ho-hum up to the 50% point, but really grabs you once the midpoint passes and it's becoming quite evident some fuckery is afoot. Too bad the novel hasn't leaned in harder into the unreliable narrator angle but seems to have given up on it entirely by this point.
