This isn't a good start.
Charlotte is boarding a cruise ship. It was going to be her honeymoon, but the wedding was canceled; she caught her ex cheating. Charlotte snaps at Angela, an employee, for greeting her as "Mrs." and with her ex's last name. She didn't change the reservation, but it's apparently Angela's fault. Charlotte's internal monologue repeatedly describes Angela as a Barbie, plastic, and unrealistic.

Now we meet Lexie, the other heroine. She and Zara, her BFF, share a one-room cabin on the cruise ship; they've lived together for 5 years. Lexie is a slob; she's spent the entire time leaving her dirty clothes on the floor instead of in the laundry hamper.
