the way it took me until this page when someone straight up says they're 17 for me to realize that this is a high school and not a university LMAOOOO HELPPP THEY EVEN MENTIONED AP CLASSES. this makes all of these characters even more ridiculous i'm sorry i liked it better when i thought they were 21

alright i'm calling it, killer is the person i've suspected most of the book, and i'm pretty disappointed tbh

a++ for the book giving finn a good reason to be making a dumb decision - it feels very natural and understandable. I loved the line that "He'd never thought about anything less in his life." he's a pretty charming character.

The multiple POV gimmick of this book seems to be both under utilized and OVER utilized to hide the fact that nothing has happened like...at all. we've really gotten no closer to finding the truth, there's been few clues except the vaughn thing and the white thing so if it's someone other than them i'm questioning the setup

beth/peacock being the first person listed on the list of students is so funny considering she barely exists in this book, her pov chapters seem shoved in because she HAS to have one. she's very under utilized

I'm really enjoying this book thus far but Peacock's complete lack of focus is confusing, especially since she has POV chapters for seemingly no reason. I also have no idea why the Kaylas are here as they've served no purpose at all. I'm a little leery that the climax of this mystery is going to nosedive it into disappointment.

I've been in enough MKG rp games to know how to conceal a character's guilt after a murder while being in their own POV. There are a couple characters - two in specific - that either clearly had nothing to do with it or are being written very poorly if they are the killers. Either way, although I know the book is for younger audiences, it would benefit from less transparency.

every character in this book is utterly charming, except beth picach, who has been curiously absent save for one very vague and short pov chapter. she barely even talks to the other students. i'm guessing hers will be some of the first secrets uncovered bc they have to be easy to deduce if they're hiding her like this
