Another minor character in the book Chantress is the King. The King plays the role of the emperor of England. He was the man who brought the Shadowgrims into the kingdom. The King is a clueless man who doesn't know how to take care of his empire. He orders a Chantress to make a mythical creature to punish people who don't abide by the rules. He is a perfect example of tyranny.

A minor character in the book Chantress is Norrie. Norrie plays the role of Lucy's guardian. Norrie is Lucy's guide. She is very cautious, loving, and will protect Lucy at all costs. Norrie is a good and bad influence for Lucy. Norrie always follows the rules and never does anything that seems suspicious. She also is a bad influence because she will never do anything exciting and new.

I belive the main conflict of the book is character v self. I think this because Lucy accepts the fact that she is a mythical being, and that she can control magic. After meeting two people who take her in, she learns her true ability. I also belive it is character v society because Lucy is going to work with the two people and try to change the dangerous world they live in.

The book Chantress by Amy Butler is a fantasy because it tells of mythical creatures like witches and warlocks. This book is somewhat adventurous because Lucy is traveling around London trying to solve her questions and find Norrie. Also this book is fiction because Lucy, the main character is a Chantress.

In the beginning of the book Lucy and Norrie were living on a deserted island. Later in the book, Lucy wakes up in a big library in England. The time and place has an impact on the story because England was were Lucy had been born. Lucy had been brought to England meaning that she has unfinished business. It might be different if it were in a different setting because the whole story of Lucy would change.
