This is written far better than I expected. I'm absolutely enchanted. This truly does make me think of V.C. Andrews if she hadn't written such disturbing stories, and instead focused on young love. Amazing.

I'm not sure how I feel about being more fascinated by Lisa's dad than Lisa herself... it's great he's so vivid, but it would be nice if she had some sort of light to match his. But then that is the trouble with writing such crazy people, isn't it?

I have to add a note here already: I am seeing some V.C. Andrew influence in the way this is narrated (not in the dark, disturbing way), and I LOVE it. I'm really excited already!
