Really good early F. Paul Wilson who always is genre bending. Not as good as its 1977 predecessor, Healer, but his analysis of interplanetary racism, the pros and cons of boycotting, and libertarian politics are spot on and still applicable today.

F. Paul Wilson is finally getting to the part of the story that makes him so great! It took a dip into interplanetary politics for a bit there, and started losing its sci-fi horror edge. Now it's back! Turning out to be a solid novella, just like Healer. The Vanek are some of the most interesting alien beings I've read in awhile. Even early F. Paul Wilson is pretty great! Wheels within Wheels, Bendreth. Chilling!

Just started this early F. Paul Wilson book on audio, the sequel to Healer which I just audio read in the last month. I only discovered Wilson in the last five years but have read 7 of his now. Love his mixture of genre-defying sci-fi, horror, thriller, and cosmic weirdness he brings to anything he writes.
