I don’t know why I’m feeling the need to update my progress and thoughts about the book… however, she’s currently describing the small town library… it looks more like a high end spa than a library… this book is a pg-13 hallmark movie. I am calling it now.

In a shocking turn of events, I’m crying over a fictional child’s soccer game. I’m defining a sucker for a happy kid. If anything happens in the next 34% to ruin that kids happiness I am not going to be happy.

Well… uhhh so yeah definitely enjoying the book now. It has eased up on the whole trying too hard thing, and has become a very enjoyable easy read. Is it cheesy? Yeah, but I like queso and a good charcuterie board so it’s fine. Basically it’s a decent lifetime movie.

Knox and Nash, tallulah, silver, justice, Hinkel, sherry fiasco. This town has a police force of 2 people, a library that’s more like a spa with books, the coolest barber shop that ever existed, and ever person we meet has colored or cool hair, piercings and tattoos. Oh and we’re in the south east. I’m a midwesterner so maybe it’s different in the SE but I’ve never heard of a small town like this.

This tiny town sure does have a lot of unique “sounds made up” names.

The trying too hard to be witty has died down a bit. Other than all of the characters sounding the same, I’m enjoying the story thus far.

First impressions I think the author might be trying too hard to be clever and witty. With that being said I laughed at one of the witty jokes (one of many that occurred within the first 12 pages). Let’s see what happens.
