I quit this book. At first there was this odd language where I understand the word but I could barely make sense out of the sentences, later on the topic of korean masculinities the language was better but it was so dry that in 1.5 weeks I only advanced 29 pages, that is a clear sign.

I already have my issues with this writing style. Sometimes it is fine and I have no problem understanding what is going on, but then I really have to think hard about what the author writes/quotes. So far this chapter comes down to that at the time SK cinema is a hybrid of several influences. Plus, what does "The West" mean here?
