I really don’t like the amnesia trope. It’s in the synopsis so I only have myself to blame. Why won’t he just tell her who she is to him?!? There is absolutely no reason for him to keep it a secret.

I know this is the first book in a series so some setup is required, but everything feels over explained in a not so subtle way. The author is using conversation between the characters to introduce the reader to the characters and plot but it makes the dialogue feel unnatural and very info dumpy.
