I immediately thought of you when they brought the wise children trope out cause I know you hate it😂 I let it slide a bit with this one though because they are not normal children

I don't hate it necessarily because children can be wise in their own way!! But everything they say seems to be either to 1) for shock value, like all the killing and death stuff or 2) to teach a lesson to the reader/Linus. Idk how to describe it. It got a little better for me about halfway into the book tho

I agree 100%! I didn’t realize till I was finished that the book is technically considered YA so I think that makes a bit more sense as to why there is such an abundance of lessons to learn
