This is a book that benefits from a reread. I loved it the first time around but I’m enjoying it just as much if not more this time. Part 1 still took me a bit to get through but as soon as Vis gets to the Academy the pace picks right up and it’s my favourite part. I’m at the can’t put the book down but also can’t be sleep deprived at work stage. Hoping to finish this tomorrow!

Re-read before book 2. I remember when I first read this book the first half took me fooooreverrrr to get through. Enjoying it much more the second time around.

Still confused about the hierarchy and pyramids, but we're going to keep it moving.
