in a world where everyone is objectified and reduced to the gender stereotypes assigned to us from birth, this book actually gives me hope about living. We are human, humans are complex, neurodevelopmental biology is a thing, how we are depends on how we were raised, culture, etc. Hormones don’t exist as a fixed amount but rather naturally fluctuates, etc etc etc! I love this book

Putting aside my general expectation of how I like information to be presented, I actually really like this book so far. It’s obviously made for the layperson, but I’m a layperson in this field, so I heavily appreciate it. It actually aligns really well with my neuroscience of emotions textbook at certain points, so I know it’s legit.

still, since this book features so many studies, it would’ve been helpful to give dates so that the points connected better to each other, rather than just relying on using logic to do so. There is more which connects information than just relying on logic alone.
