The author wrote that the mom hitchhiked from Southern California to Los Angeles... That's the same place and also tells me nothing. The author couldn't pick another city??? Ex. She hitchhiked from San Diego to Los Angeles. That would have been believable. Lazy writing is such a turn off. I can feel the DNF coming.

I cannot decide what I think of this book. The writing is very inconsistent. The FMC is annoying. The author wanted to write Esmerelda as a bad ass but didn't know how to write that type of character so instead she's a penchant 20yr old. I love beauty and the beast so I had high hopes for this book, but I think I'm going to be disappointed.
