Rodger travels back in time to 1956 in the prime of Mickey's career. He is in Yankee stadium. He is learning about Mickeys way of playing. Mickey teaches him tips about baseball. In this end of the book Rodger is a great player, and still collecting sports cards

The book Mickey and Me is a non-fiction book. The book is about a boy named Rodger who finds a rare Mickey Mantle baseball card and he tellaports back in time. Rodger he is not that good at Baseball but he wants to be a great player. He loves collecting baseball cards and wants his own card someday. He says, "today is the day I shine." Unfortunately Rodger is not that good. Mickey changes his life for the better.
