Our main character truly does not care about anyone other than himself. His default reaction to anything is anger. Are we supposed to root for him just because he’s poor? Even after we find out he has a secret stash of life’s savings hidden from his roommates? Even after he pretends he can’t pay the rent and his roommates do everything they can to help him?
I’m rooting for the rich lord love interest.
