I'm almost halfway through the book now, and so far nothing that's happened has been a surprise. I don't want to sound smug, and I don't think it's been boring, I was just expecting more shock and awe because of the reviews. But then again, maybe I'll look at this a year from now and think how ridiculously wrong I am

Also I don't find Amy a terrible person or irritating - I find her kind of endearing and can totally see where she's coming from which makes me somewhat concerned. Either she's going to show her bad side soon or I have to wonder what it says about me that so far I can relate to her
