Woah, totally thought the mention of two moons was a typo, since it's the only indication that Kira isn't from Earth. Unless, I missed other more subtle clues, everything about Thaer is the same as Earth.

I was adoring Faye and Zane, but I'm having trouble relating to Kira. She's just woken in a familiar -- yet not at all familiar -- place and doesn't really question it. She wanders around this unusual carnival and winds up meeting Evan. She then obediently follows him around. I'm just having a hard time understanding why she trusts him so easily. Why isn't she questioning this alternate reality?
