I’ve been in such a reading slump, and this book is pulling me right out of it. It starts off with a beautiful narrative about a family and the awe of nature and being alive, and now it’s slowly transitioning to have Jeff VanderMeer sci-fi vibes. I’m not describing it well, but I’m LOVING it so far.

I’ve set this book down for a few weeks, but as soon as I picked it up again this morning I was hooked. A sign of a good book!
