The cutesy "Southernisms" are really getting annoying. I know a number of Southern girls and they say OMG just like anybody else! I can't think of one who would be caught dead saying "Oh my mama pajama" instead. Would love to know if these are actual sayings or made up for this book.

YES! Bertie doesn't need to run away from Harmony, she just needs to learn how to say no. At least Keith gets it, though it's funny that he can't see what's wrong with his own life.
