Lee is an absolute shut out from society. Half from his own will and actions and half because society ignorantly ignores seniors. The new new generation ignores his old, wrinkly, and absurd self. He idealizes education, books, and the past. The past is where he wants to be; he wants to abandon the present and kill off the future.
He idealizes things he can’t control: whether someone reads and or is educated.

Lee, Carla tells me, means to read in Spanish.
Well Lee the main character is a giant reader the author is Spanish, put 2 and 2 together.
Lee’s pretty sad and judgmental too. He burns himself to bring his dead wife, Judy, back to existence for a few moments.
Lee is an entire series and I want to know the order to read it all.

Lee is categorically the Christmas Carole old man.
He’s educated as well as very angry, willing to hit a dog with its cane because of its annoying barking and also pointing out how it is weak because it has no more threats in the modern world.
His wife is dead and he loves her more than anything in the living world. Developing an abusive relationship with himself as a sacrifice to see her. Ghostly in a way.

I’m hungry for ice cream.
The writing in 4 pages describes a man, old and lonely and skinny. Living, now, in the inner parts of town. One of the good old houses. Lee’s perception of things have dwindled and have become little, especially the town. He’s a fine man but now he lives alone without his partner.
