Poor Takeshi thought he would get honor by serving in the Japanese Infantry but instead what he got is running terrified from ghosts & spirits. This is way better than I had expected actually. And I suspect the story will get better as it continues too. Definitely enjoying this so far.

This is not only about the horrors of war but also how some kitsune or spirit is taking revenge on the Japanese soldiers who are attacking the chamorro natives of omiyajima. Brutal action but well written. Mysterious shadowy forces are attacking them. Guns are useless against these spirits called the Taotaomo'na.
