I’m in a reread phase and have been obsessing over the idea of rereading Malice etc. So I started it yesterday and it’s been so long I barely remember anything. Now I’m in a weird, but brilliant, position of reading a book that I know is a favourite but which also seems new and surprising. I love it.

I did the same thing with my favourite horror author James Herbert and it’s great rereading if the story is slightly forgotten, it’s like it comes into focus as it progresses and it’s brilliant because it’s familiar but still intriguing! Hope you enjoy this one once again! 😁

And I bet you felt that same sense of unease as I do now. I KNOW something bad is going to happen but I’m not sure when or how…
Also, I haven’t read any James Herbert in years! I loved his stuff. I must remedy that.

I also realised how dated it was in terms of *ahem* dodgy descriptions of its time! 🤭 I chose ‘Others’ as my first reread and loved it but also downgraded it from five to four stars because in this day and age some of it was rather questionable! 😆
