I know everyone says this is supposed to be a dark historical romance, but I'm not finding it that dark. Am I the problem? I might be the problem. Maybe I was warned how DARK it was that I'm not finding it as DARK as everyone seems to make it. {{shrugs}}

I had a similar reaction!!! The author does a lot of telling but not a lot of showing. Difficult to see him as dark when you don’t see him do dark stuff. Felt very broody to me
