I feel like the journey they are on is a bit boring, but I enjoy the characters. I was looking forward to this one, but it's a bit meh. Not enjoying it as much as the first book in the series.

This is like The Unhoneymooners meets The Wedding Date. And I'm here for it.

I am a sucker for sex lessons. And these poor dum-dums.

I've temporarily stopped reading this because I know there is a 3rd act break up coming. And I DON"T WANT IT. Also I need to read the last 30% in one sitting and I have not had the time lately. But I will finish this soon.

I am so glad I switched to this ARC because I'm enjoying this SO much more. I only started it 2 days ago, and I cannot put it down. I stayed up till almost 3 am reading this which I haven't done in YEARS if that tells you anything.

I definitely want to DNF this and I'm so sad because I was SO excited for this. And it was an ARC. But I'm just not loving this.

I want to love this, but I am having a hard time connecting to these characters.

I always love Cara Bastone's Audible originals and this is no exception. Also the full cast audio and the main two characters especially are killing this.

Okay I'm still loving this and it still doesn't seem that dark to me. So now I'm wondering if I need to read the whole series?

This is giving The Selection meets Spin the Dawn. It's cute, I'm digging it.

The hero of this is supposed to be like this rugged, mountain man survivor because he used to be in the military. And he's all off the grid. But really he's a homeless vet with PTSD, and it feels very cringey to me.

I know everyone says this is supposed to be a dark historical romance, but I'm not finding it that dark. Am I the problem? I might be the problem. Maybe I was warned how DARK it was that I'm not finding it as DARK as everyone seems to make it. {{shrugs}}

I LOVE the demisexual representation in this. Also love that these protagonists are older. Taking awhile to read it but really enjoying it when I do.

I'm barely starting this and it's already proving to be bonkers. And Bettie is completely likeable. But Sarah Hogle seems to be able to pull off unlikeable character arcs, so I'm willing to wait it out. And the bonkers of it all is entertaining.

I'm enjoying this one much more than I expected.
