Damn… this chapter and the last chapter were hard to sit through. They beautifully showcased depression and grief. This chapter was definitely my fav so far.

The pacing on this chapter I’m on is drastically different from the rest of this book–even changing from third perspective to first. Obviously there’s a reason and an emphasis on Frank this chapter so far. Idk how I feel about it yet.

Maybe Frank is ok, I just feel conflicted…. Definitely love Zoe and Cleo. I loved chapter 5. Mellors did such a good job encapsulating experiencing girlhood as a teen being around older women. But maybe I’m also projecting
