this book had sections that were wildly entertaining but during the majority of it i felt my eyes glaze over. i'm sorry bitov. when i was reading the last 30-odd pages i was like... okay... i appreciate the commentary on authorship but also i'm bored

took 300 pages for this book to hit but oh my god?? “You haven’t done a thing to me. That’s why! Only I don’t hate you. There’s another word for it. I’d say that I loved you, but it’s banal— literature has already destroyed that turn of the plot.”

finished this section of the reading and just said "i don't know wtf just happened, but i sure read that" before putting the book back in my backpack
