Topic: Characterization, Emily is very emotional she feels she has no one to talk to but Rowan. SHe shares with Rowan all her secrets because Rowan does the same with her. She talks to Rowan about her problems and her day hoping that Rowan will comfort her as he always has. I think she also feels she can talk to rowan because she hasn't even met him yet. Emily has has a lot of self control over her actions.

Types of Conflict:The conflict is character vs self because Ellie is having a hard time making friends and becoming popular. She just wants to fit in but she wants to figure out herself before she can figure out anyone else.She wants to have at least 2 friends by the end of the summer.
