I skipped a few female characters because they were side characters, but I’ve now met “little more than a girl.” and I am assured she might be pretty under all that grime but she’s too scrawny to pique his lust apparently, such a shame for her. Glad every female character gets placed on the ‘how hot is she’ scale (often) before I even learn her name.

Main character comparing himself to a child predator who tortures animals in a whole ‘are we so different’ monologue while he watches the guy luring a young girl in to a hut so he can eh… “He was as much a slave to his cruelty as I was to my vengeance.” Alarm bells are ringing for me so hard. We do get that child predators choose to prey on children right? Or are we all powerless creatures with no autonomy?

Pages didn’t get to double digits and the main character is that creepy kid who sits in the corner and stares at girls with his mouth hanging open 🤣 hopefully I’ll eventually get that image out my head.
