I came back to this book after a year and I remembered why I had to take such a long break. I'm so nauseated. I'm in mourning for men I've never known, who would die decades before I was born. Its such a good book

Don’t know the exact page number I’m on but I finished Part 1. I am having such a bone deep grief and sadness for men I don’t know, it’s hard to describe. I don’t know what to do now.

My dad mentioned this book in passing years ago and it’s stuck in my head ever since. I am glad I didn’t try to read it then, being an adult will help me understand the gravity of it all
