Flight from physical harm: except an epidemic when one should not leave an plagued region, nor enter it.
Travel as motion+interaction, where interaction plays a crucial role. Traveling alone is 🚫
The ultimate effect of travelling is processing what one has acquired through it, in residence. Someone who keeps travelling life long hasn’t reached an important stage where that is no longer necessary.

Travel for worship: pilgrimage or holy war. In the case of pilgrimage, all mosques are the same (except the first three), but not all shrines are the same, depending on the person’s rank. Visiting a living saint or scholar is more valuable than a dead one.
Flight from religious confusion: actually from a place where the worldly would disturb the heart (fame, money, opportunities).

A book on travel as subjected to the consciousness of God.
4 valid reasons to travel: seeking knowledge, performing acts of worship, fleeing from religious confusion or from physical harm.
Knowledge: learning something related to religion, OR something about oneself in the process of travelling, OR to contemplate God’s signs on earth.
