This book is inspiring me to work on my dystopian fantasy romance novel again - a project I haven’t really touched in years - and that is high praise. I’ve been so burnt out and lacking inspiration, but I can feel it blooming again as I read this book 🥹🫶

This book has already broken my heart into itty bitty pieces (*BEARHUGS WEE MICAH*😭) and I’d like to 💀Ingridon and the Erlking myself.
Also, I love Morwe and Zel, but I especially relate to Morwe and her Older Sister Responsibilities and her emotional repression. I’m more “golden retriever” than she is but that can be as much of a mask as coldness.

<3 <3 <3 thank you for writing this book!!!! (and thank you! it's hilarious, cuz I'm not a fan of dystopia usually, but then the story went and turned into my Heart Story, of course XD XD XD XD)
Will there be an Erlking in that dystopian fantasy romance? Me and Mari are starved for more Erlking. :D

@Katie It’s very well-written! If you’d like to know anything content-warning-wise, just lmk! I usually can’t handle grimdark, but Claire has balanced the horror of the situation with lots of hope for better things really well imo. And Morwe is an absolute queen; I love her so much.

I'm very curious to read your review when you finish, and I'll message you with more questions, most probably ;) I usually dislike fae stories, but I love what I'm hearing from various readers about how this one subverts a lot of common tropes.
