So far enjoyable and light, it's the introduction I keep coming back to. Its descriptions of how romcoms just can't win has me drawing parallels to the women the movies are aimed at. They can't be too raunchy, nor too pure. They can't be too mindless, for in the "good old days", movies were witty and charming. Yet Love, Actually apparently had trouble being picked up as it was TOO witty and smart. Coincidence?
