Michelle wrote: "How does this compare with Uhtred?"Very different styles. The author is a grand storyteller, a sailor before he became an author who sailed on old replica ships (think Golden Hind was one) in his time so the seaward tales are grand. Very much enjoying it.
Its also great to read about the Norse in Ireland & all the history that went with that instead of Danes in Britain.
