Kind of want to skip the short stories and just move on to the last book, but Le Guin thinks they're important so I'll just chug on! But man, Tehanu makes me really fucking side-eye Ms. Terf bc man, what a novel that was.

daemyra, the realm's delight wrote: "What were the terf moments?? 😳"No TERF moments from Le Guin, I just keep reading it while thinking of JKR and Harry Potter in the back of my mind. Especially in regards to how much Tehanu was in large part about women, women's suffering, and those without power, structurally or literally.
I call JKR Ms. TERF bc Harry Potter has increasingly not aged well on it's own and through her own actions of transphobia, misogyny, Holocaust denial, and aligning herself with anti-choice groups as well as regular ol' wife beaters, so whatever special feelings I had for the series have dried up.
