Of course Niall escaped… because there needs to be a villain for the next book….of course he did. It would’ve been interesting if he turned out to just be a lap dog for his father who then in turn would have been the main villain. Because some parts of his last villain speech sounded very daddy issues esque

I think during the last 100 pages they pace really sped up which i appreciate
But I’ve noticed some spelling mistakes. Not sure if it’s my edition or in general tho

this book is already dragging to the end of the world omg I refuse to read if Niall becomes the mate. We love rion in this household

I guess what I mean by that, is that the author isn’t forcing his sudden goodness and everyone’s unconditional love for him down our throats but rather the acceptance of rion is a slow build. Like the characters are allowed to transform naturally and not forced to make decisions. I like that.

I also love that rion isn’t just forgiven. He has to put in work and maybe the wounds he caused will never heal. And I like that it is written like that. And that he accepts it

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa it’s so slow. Nothing is happening. The game of thronesy plot is NOT working. I repeat it’s NOT working! I can’t take 250 more pages

It’s sooooofucking slooooow. Nothing happens. Stark contrast to the first book where everything happens hit after hit. This feels like throne of glass book 4 (chaol version) and not in a good way!
Also I can’t help the feeling of the author trying to build something up between the fmc and Niall (?) her prophecy mate. I don’t like it
