The Widow might be a DNF and a yeet to the book exchange pile.
It's not one that I ever really reread with any sort of enthusiasm and I think I only kept it because I couldn't stand letting a favorite author's book go to the bin.
But I'm older now with less space and even fewer f's to give.

I think Charlie and Maguire are probably some of Stuart's weaker main characters. Charlie reminds me too much of Cassidy from Night Fall and Maguire is a pretty stereotypical Stuart MMC.
But the side characters always make me laugh. These people would be exhausting in real life.

Oh this one was WEIRD. I remember thinking this had such old skool bones. Anne Stuart is always original, even if she misses the mark and I adore her for that.

I think my favorite is probably Lord of Danger and it wasn't quite as crazy as some of her other books. Night Fall was my first and it was so different than anything else that was out at the time.
