This is a re-read.
This is the first book of the literature clubs 2026 reading schedule starting in January.
I’m so excited to be reading this again, much slower and fully annotated this time.
I’ll read one chapter a day for 102 days so I’ll be finished by March 13, a week before I finish Les Miserables which I also started today at 12 pages a day scheduled.

End of ch 25. End of part 1. Quarter way through the book. 20 characters introduced and now heading out on a cattle drive. Good book. Lots of laughs.
