If I had a shot for every time the MC mentioned the tragic past with her ex-best friend, where she ruined everything and also her outlook on love, I’d already have alcohol poisoning. So it is insane that barely 3 chapters in we’re basically going, “well actually I shouldn’t have to apologize for this and it’s ridiculous that she’s still mad.” Please I just want one slow-burn. Or even a normal-burn.

I'm reading this out of solidarity and I'm already unhappy about it
