This was recommended to me by someone I really respect, which is why I am doing my best to engage with it on its own terms, even though I am pretty much constantly very angry while reading it. The author loves phrases like "it's a well-known fact" and absolutely hates citing any kind of source for his often wild claims. It's also deeply steeped in neoliberal narrative.
