Unfortunately this is shaping up to be the worst book I've read this year. I wish Célie would just die so it would end. Michal keeps giving her credit for developments she wasn't at all responsible for and it's completely baffling... There's nothing good about this book so far. Not one thing :(

Célie is so stupid and hateable this book is really hard to read...Shelby what happened here??

Oof... I really enjoyed Serpent & Dove, but the first several chapters of this book feeling like they just underscore how ineffective and helpless Celie is... it's frustrating, to say the least!
