Our protagonist has all the tells of once being a wonderful man, falling into the slums of lethargy and laziness. That's why his wife had married him. Ya know, and then he decided not to work anymore, and expected praise for doing the smallest things. Toru literally sits around the house all day while his wife overworks herself, and he sees no issue with this. What a shit.

The pages are so thin with type so long, it's difficult to read at work-which is the only place I read right now. I will most likely have to finish this book at another time.
