With Fate Conspire by Vandana Singh - 3/5 - Gargi lies to her captors, using the time Machine as she wants, not realizing the importance of the project.

I'm not sure I got this story. It's told from the perspective of a typically overlooked character type, and contrasts her concerns with those of the stereotypical protagonist's.

I think my main issue was the (apperent) lack of resolution.
