I wish I had updated more about this book but I was mostly at work when I was reading it.

Overall thoughts thus far since I’m almost finished, Percy is so funny, also I love the way these characters were written they act like children and I feel like in TV or in most fantasy/mythological stories now the characters ages aren’t reflective of how they are

I will be documenting the Percy x Annabeth slow burn here

When he first sees her (Percy is half conscious at this point) and he goes “a pretty girl, her blonde hair curled like a princess’s”

Wow I love them already

“‘Hey stupid! Hey ground beef! Raaaarrrrr!’” WHY IS THIS SO FUNNY PLEASE

“I called him an old sot. I wasn’t sure what it meant, but it sounded good” why’s this so funny he’s such a middle school boy

There is so much foreshadowing that I missed in the 1st chapter wow

also I love Percy he’s so damn funny omg

THE FORESHADOWING OH WOW

“He expected me to be the best” BECAUSE YOU ARE

“Like he’d been at this girl’s funeral” BECAUSE HE WAS

WOW I am so enthralled it’s like an Easter egg hunt

FINALLY STARTING THIS WOWOW the post KoA reading slump really had me there…

Anyways, “I told Grover I didn’t think Mrs Dodds was human. He looked at me, real serious, and said, ‘You’re absolutely right.’”

Love the foreshadowing! This is all just about to be little things I didn’t notice when I was reading these at 12 😁
