I listened this book years ago and hated it. Making it through to the end was torture.
But then my 10yo watched a Youtube video about the Maze Runner movie and has insisted that we listen to the book together. So here I am once again, forcing myself to listen to this terrible fucking book. My kid loves it so far, though, so at least one of us is happy.

Honestly, yes. It actually kind of reads the way kids pretend things, where it's like, "And then this happened. And then this happened. And no one had ever done that before the special MC arrived and changed everything."
