I was reading "Punch, Brothers, Punch!" out loud to Kristen because I thought it was hysterical, and the magic (curse?) snared one of our four-year-olds: she started asking me to repeat bits, and by nightfall was asking me to "Sing conductor again?" multiple times in a row. "Conductor, when you receive a fare,/ Punch in the presence of the passenjare!/ A blue trip slip for an eight-cent fare/ A buff trip slip..."

Both "Tom Sawyer Abroad" and "Tom Sawyer, Detective" are pretty short and rather silly. Jim is in the former and not in the later. It's fun watching Jim and Huck tag-team Tom, but the latter story is probably the stronger (eh) and definitely the funnier. (I don't *think* I would feel differently if I'd read more Jules Verne, but...)
